Order to put truck back together in...

I am just about done painting my chassis for the swb 4x4 and I am at the point where the cab could go on the truck. My motor wont be done for awhile but my tranny and t case will be done in about two weeks.So...should I leave the cab off till the motor is done and install it all at once,or put in the tranny and t case and put the cab on and install the motor when its done?.I dont think it will be that hard to put the motor in with the body on.With the cab on I could partially assemble the truck too. So,what do you guys think?

I would put the tranny and tcase in first and then put the cab on. Leave the front sheet metal off untill you put the motor in.

But make sure that you support the front of the tranny

Well,I think I will try that.I guess I need to hurry up and finish painting the cab so it can go on.With the t case and tranny hooked up and cab installed I can install the driveshafts too and partially wire the truck and get the cab back to operating order

Thumbs up Re: Order to put truck back together in...

my last truck, the entire running gear was in place prior to installing the cab--less chance of scratching anything that way.
