Will a 285/75/16 fit on 2wd?
Just wondering if a 285/75/16 will fit on a stock height suspension C20? Anyone know if there are any clearance issues?
Thanks, Paul

Thanks for the reply.
Was it a close fit or no problem? Got any pics?

Re: Will a 285/75/16 fit on 2wd?
yea, I just got some new tires on my c-20. they are 245-75-16.the 285/75/16 i think are about 2.5 taller and should definatly work in the back but you might have isssues in the front-might. I found a tire size calculator that will give you the exact size dimentions in inces.http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

ya I was mostly concerned with the front clearance should fit in the back no problem. Parked next to a later model Chev truck that had them on and it looked good, not too big not too small. But it may have been lifted a couple of inches.

here is 285 16's on my 68 3/4 gmc
There appears to be alittle more room than usual cause the pass front tire is low in the pic!

Thanks for the pic Solver. It looks like it fits fine. Are there any issues with steering clearance?
Thanks
