transmission fluid?
how many quarts of fluid should i put in my turbo 35 tranny??

Depends on if you are filling the converter too... @4 for trans only & up to 10 if trans & converter are dry. Dont go by these numbers, Im just rough guessing. You will have to get it close & run it. Fill until you can feel it go from reverse to drive & then start checking...

A th350 with converter takes 10 quarts totally dry. But i start out with 7 and let it warm up. Start it up and let it sit in each gear for 10 seconds and recheck and add fluid till its reads full.

to add to his question...
even if the tranny is a quart or two low, it should still pump fluid through the cooling lines, right? when i swapped engines, after the truck has sat for 4+ years, the tranny no go, i pulled the cooling line, and nothing, which makes me think bad pump.
