How do I adjust the brake light switch?
It looks like there is a nut on top and bottom, but I can't get a wrench on either. The switch spins, but how do you loosen the nuts to adjust it?
Since I installed my power booster, the pedal doesn't push the switch down all the way. I adjusted the pedal all the way out and it's still about 1/4 from closing the switch. HELP! Thanks. |

If you can't adj the switch what if you zip tied something to the pedal to close the gap.

Re: How do I adjust the brake light switch?
The pedal is against the rubber bumper. I was thinking of putting something on there, but the switch is adjustable, I just can't figure out how to get to it.

Yes, it just spins. The switch is threaded and the upper and lower nuts allow you to adjust it. I can't get either one loose, so I can't adjust it.
Does anyone know how to loosen these nuts? |

Re: How do I adjust the brake light switch?
yea i would like to know how to do this to. when i put my new power brake booster on mine a few years back the switch got out of adjustment or something. you can get the lights to work but you really got to press down hard on the pedel so it will make contact with the switch. kinda a pain cuz there are times when you just barely need to use the brakes and people dont see the lights cuz your not pressing down that hard. anyways any help would be appreciated.
