Sport Mirror W/ Convex Mirror?
Hey Everybody, I think the sport mirrors look great but do not provide a large enough field of vision on the passenger side. I also think this field of vision could be improved with a convex mirror. Has anyone modified a passenger side sport mirror with a convex mirror?

Re: Sport Mirror W/ Convex Mirror?
I have a bud who had convex mirrors cut and installed in his 71 Chevelle. He said that just about any automotive glass shop could do it.

Re: Sport Mirror W/ Convex Mirror?
A local glass shop said they could not install convex glass in my sport mirror.

Re: Sport Mirror W/ Convex Mirror?
wow... zombie thread!
Pros, you can see more due to a wider path of vison in the same size mirror. cons, you can't really look at things due to the smaller immage, but at least you'll SEE them. I run convexes on both sides on my longhorn. No reg mirror at all. I have almost no blind spot at all. |
