How do you know your NP205 needs rebuilt?
Is there one part that wears first, gives you some idea of amount time on it.
I have a 80 205 the gear oil in it looks like new, but I don't know how many miles are on it or it's history. Don't wanna rebuild it if it doesn't need it. clues? |

If it doesn't leak and doesn't make noise, don't worry about it. The only thing I have seen destroy a 205 is the lack of oil---they are pretty bulletproof

Like kwmech said, their pretty much bulletproof. Ive seen 205 completely broken in half and the internals still looked good.

Sounds like maybe just clean-it-up re-seal it and stick it in. I like that.
thanks |

If its one for a T350.. just clean it up and put it in.. if its one for a SM465 Muncie 4spd check the adapter sleeve the splines wear out on those..
