help installing a tach!
ok guys i got a tach for my truck but now i have no idea what wire to hook it to on the coil. there are 4 wires on it i think i know it goes to the negative side but what side is that? thanks

Tach wires goes to the white wire coming off the ignition coil, it is on the same connector as the thick red wire that supplies power to the coil. The other two wires go to the distributor
This is assuming you are talking about your 87, and it is still TBI

your 87 is hei right? It should be labled on the hei
EDIT: sorry i thought tbi had hei and not a seperate coil and dizzy
