Re: Grey wire on tilt column
well mine has a spot marked dash.. i have never seen a 68 but a test light would work for finding a wire like from the heater controll that lights it up. if theres not something on the fuse box...
heres a picture of my fuse..i can't even tell what i have..? and a extra picture Last edited by rage'nrat638; 07-12-2007 at 06:58 AM. |

Re: Grey wire on tilt column
My buddy and I just finished rebuilding a 72 truck tilt column to go in my 68.
I needed a new turn signal switch which came with the bulb holder and the gray wire snapped into the connector end comming off the t/s switch. That end would normally hook to a factory connector I think. The factory harness in your truck should be a horseshoe/half circle shape. Anyway it goes, the gray wire should just hook up to any terminal or lead with 12volts (key on) or I will prob hook mine up to power on with the park/headlamps on.

Re: Grey wire on tilt column
There should be one labeled ign. Or you can use a test light to find out.

You can hook it to the light that feed the heater control.
