What color would you paint this truck??? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys,

I'm almost ready for paint on this 72 C20 factory 402 AC car. It is an original Medium Olive/ White two tone.

I am considering painting it a solid Tahoe blue with just the top white. The interior is green, so I'd switch that over to all black, and black in the engine compartment, too.

What would you do? Factory two tone olive/ white, or the (more popular???) blue color?

Pics of your paint would be awesome!

I would keep the two tone factory paint style no matter what color you paint it. I like chevys medium blue from that era, or green is very nice, too. It all depends on what YOU want to paint it. thanks

Yeah, that's the color I was talking about. My old blazer was that color, really a nice color combo, espicially in factory two-tone. I would definitely go with that color.

Mine is fatory Medium Olive/ White two tone as well, I am thinking of going white and blue also, But you see more of those than the green. I would keep it two tone. Either color choice will look awesome.

i say paint it the ogrigal green/white combo or even get a different color green from a newer vehicle or something just because i personaly do see many of these truck with the green/white combo

I've seen a couple blue trucks with black interior... and they look funny IMO. One of the few colors that doesn't work with black.
As much as i love blue... these trucks look great in that white/olive 2 tone... and they are seldom done up this way.

Although.... it's hard to ignore a black truck... they ALWAYS look bad ass.
