going brake light crazy
okay i got some brake lights buckets with sockets that have been working great and i have been having a lot of trouble the lights even before i put the new ones in. i had both sides working and now i i got a parking light working on the left and thats it i have to keep cleaning the grounds i even but die electric greece on it and i am still having keeping the left brake light and turn signal working any ideas????

oh they where working then just stopped again they work after cleaning grounds

Make sure the bulb socket contacys are moving when you push the buld in. If the buld contact seat is rusty behind it, the spring may not be oushing the contacts up against the bulb.

the bulbs are seating fine i know its something with the grounds and i just add a ground wire to the buckets?

Add a ground wire from the frame the the bed in the rear of the truck. That cleared my problems.

What about the light socket in relation with the bucket? Were the two already conjoined when you bought them or are we talking used parts here? I know mine, rust got in betwen the socket and light bucket (inside that tiny lip) and it wouldn't ground. SO I got pliers and rotated it free, and BOOM! bright light.

yes they are used i got them on the broad already had the sockets it is the ground between he buckets and the bed that i am having trouble with
