I was wondering if a short step frame and a short bed frame are the same? and if you could put a short bed on a step side? thanks

Re: stepside frame???
SWB (short wheel base) frames are the same regardless of which bed they came with (fleet or step).
The differences would be found in 4wd vs 2wd, coil spring vs leaf spring, short wheelbase vs long wheelbase, etc.

Re: stepside frame???
yep. a short step will bolt right onto a frame that had a short fleet. Make sure you get the tail lamp harness for the correct bed.
