Transmission leak
I have a TH350. When the fluid is on the full mark tranny leaks. When it gets to the add 1pt mark it stops leaking & stays at this mark. can anyone tell me where this thing is leaking. Thanks

Sounds like mine. I have yet to have time to fix mine, but I am almost 100% sure it is leaking thru the pan gasket. What I mean by that is I think it is actually seeping thru the gasket materal rather than leaking because the gasket is bad or installed incorrectly. I think a lot of gaskets they sell now days are crap. Mine really only leaks if the truck is parked the least bit off level. Park it perfectly level and it won't leak a drop. Anybody know a good brand of trans pan gasket?

That sounds more like a leak through a seal or plug, that isn't immersed in ATF unless you park on a hill.

$10 dollars says it's the O-ring on the dipstick tube.

I VOTE FOR THE DIPSTICK TUBE ALSO. I LIKE TO WIPE THE TUBE & THE HOLE DOWN WITH LAQUER THINNER & SMEAR SOME SILICONE (RTV) ON IT BEFORE ASSY. & LET IT SET UP OVERNIGHT.

I agree, o ring, maybe rear seal at the drive shaft. That is another popular one.
