I was trying to remove a bolt from the bumper, but the hole is stripped out. Anybody got any ideas??

Re: Help with a bolt.

you trying to save the bumper or just get it off? ive had that problem in the past, im sure lots of guys on here have as well, what ive done is get a cut off wheel on a grinder and just start cutting, it will gouge the bumper a bit though but i was junking the bumper anyways.i guess if your trying to get it off without f'ing up your bumper you could start with a smaller drill bit like 3/16" or so and drill out right through the center, ive done think on frame rivets that i couldnt get at with a grinder and that will crill the bolt side right out and eventually get the bolt off, it might be a bit time comsuming though

Re: Help with a bolt.

I was able to tighten a bolt with a large breaker bar until it broke off. Just a thought.
