Does anyone know!
DOes anyone know if the manual shifting Blazer is worth more than a Automatic?
ALso I wanted to know if I have A manual shifting Blazer with the Compound Granny gear box in it...........What would it take to make it a automatic? DOes anyone know what I have to do to the transfer case to have it bolt up to a turbo 350 trans? Or what I need to get? I already have a tilt Automatic steering. Just need to know what else I need to get? |

Re: Does anyone know!
The transfer case needs a different size bearing IIRC,atleast one of them.New adapter plate, which costs around $150 and the splines are different between a manual tranny and a th350 so some work will need to be done

The bearing is the same for a 10 spline (SM465) and 27 spline (TH350) input on an NP205. The input shaft is different, obviously. The bigger bearing is required to install a 32 spline female input like is used with a TH400. To do this conversion, you do need the correct adapter and drive sleeve for TH350 to NP205 as well as the correct input shaft installed in the 205. It is usually cheaper and easier to find a complete TH350 with the 205 attached and just sell your SM465/205 as a unit.

Re: Does anyone know!
as far as $ value, an auto is probably worth more. As far as off-road capability, many prefer a 4 speed manual. Three on the tree is definately worth the least, mostly because many people don't know how to drive them. What ever came factory is probably worth more than a swap if you're going for a resto. If you're going for driveablity, do what ever you want, it's worth more to you if it is built how you want it.
