Spindles
What spindles will fit on a 1970 GMC 1/2 ton to lower it?
Belltech part #'s? Thanks for the help |

I have both Belltech and ECE's and I have to say I feel the ECE's spindles are a better piece for our trucks!

Well I talked to a few different people and some say Belltech #2400 and other say Belltech #3120
|

Go ECE.The last I looked at BellTech(before ECE)they requires adapting at tie rod ends.I`ve since heard the quality of casting comes nowhere near ECE quality.I use ECE...bolt-on easy.As far as what ones?Any pre`73 if you want 5-lug.They make 6-lug disc spindles,too.

You can also go with 71-72 factory spindles and use dropped springs for up to a 3 inch drop...could be more cost effective, actually the way I went.
*I know dropped spindles are the better way to go, this is just some extra info.*

Well maybe I will just have to go with the dropped springs ...I am looking at a 3"-3 1/2" drop in front and about 6" in rear.

My Belltechs were #3120, My truck is a 71' so you'd have to swap upper ball joints for a 71's. You'll also have to convert to 5 lug rotors
There's an application guide on belltechs website. They list the spindles as 71'-72'

I was mistaken my Truck is a 1971 and it does have rotors and disc brkaes on the front.........I don't know why I thought it was a 1970
