March 2007-TOTM-It's Sooo Long!
Alright, this month’s TOTM theme is
It's Sooo Long! Let us check out the criteria or rules for those being nominated. • Open to all years and models of trucks • The truck has to be a long wheelbase model to include longhorns with a fleetside or stepside bed. • It must be together and able to move on its own power. • It must be licensed for street use. • If a truck has won a TOTM already in 2006 or 2007, you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category. To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate your truck. Just add the nomination to this thread. We will need a picture of the nominee vehicle, the owner’s board name, and the basics specs of the truck (year, engine/drive train specs). You or your nominator can provide additional info if desired. Nominees will through March 24. If additional information is needed, then I will PM the first 15 nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing them for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all of the voting. The Poll will start to run on March 25 and will run until the morning of March 31. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of March 31. The announcement of this month’s TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: March 2007-TOTM-It's Sooo Long!
My six month old son want's to nominate his future truck.
1968 Gmc 930, 5.7 l, NV4500 5 speed. '92 GMC 3500 chassis and drivetrain. Custom 20" cab extension and step side fenders grafted onto the fleetside box to hide the duals. We extended the cab and added 2001 silverado seats with the LATCH system to accomodate his car seat and ensure his safety while enjoying the truck. We are planning on dragging the wagon with this down to the meet in July, hope to see y'all there. |

Its kinda like a grandpa truck, but it was too original not to restore. Numbers match BB400/ 400T.

Re: March 2007-TOTM-It's Sooo Long!
Ok, I'll give it a shot.

This ride has been in the same family since first purchased in May of 1982. I still have the original window stickers and options list, and the temporary tag from the dealer. It currently has 260,000+ miles and is a daily driver. Powered by the infamous 350 CI Quadrajet and geared by a Turbo 350 3-Speed Auto. She still has a lot of get up and go, the engine was rebuilt 50,000 miles ago. It is now being driven my my son, and will live new adventures with him!!
She pretty much has all of the options available in 1982. Power steering, power-brakes, tilt, cruise, electric windows and locks, int. wipers, even the quartz clock still works and keeps great time. Full instrumentation (no tach.) pile carpet, and Sierra Classic trim and headliner.
Additions: AM/FM/CD/MP3 Pioneer in-dash unit with top line Kicker speakers in dash and kick-panels. Stainless-steel anti-theft collar. Alarm system. Radar detector. And just added a new LineX spray-in bedliner. Made the bed look better than new!!

|

Re: March 2007-TOTM-It's Sooo Long!
I nominate my truck, Matraca. 1965 C10 Chevrolet long wheel base(127") stepside pickup. It has a 1992 5.7 liter(350ci) engine block, with edelbrock performer aluminum intake. A holley 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor. HEI ignition. th350 auto 3 speed tranny. coil springs in rear. 1971 chevy truck automatic steering column. tank is still behind the seat. chrome bumper guards. I drive it daily back and forth to work at night and school during the day, but no super heavy hauling action. It also has super custom dents in the door and actual rust on the fenders and bed! More pictures and details on my website, which is linked in my signature line below. -W |
