who makes stiff front lowering springs? 72 c20
who makes a good lowering spring for a 72 3/4. I don't think it matters if it's 3/4 or 1/2, but I want to lower the front of my truck 2-3 inches with a spring change, but don't want really soft springs. The stiffer the better for weight transfer is what i am finding out. I'm still working on the rear right now. The rear is a leaf spring (two springs removed) I am doing the axle flip, and probably a cal trac system or similar. I don't know how much the rear will be lowered by just doing the flip. What would be the next step to go lower in the rear? shackle extension? I am going to end up with the 315 50 MT ET radials on 10" rims eventually, and I want it to transfer and hook as good as possible. Thanks again guys, for all your help. I'm picking up my truck tonight from getting new exhaust. I'll post some picks soon. Justin

Re: who makes stiff front lowering springs? 72 c20
all the drag racers i've known go for softer springs for better weight transfer so the nose will lift and transfer weight to the rear wheels

Re: who makes stiff front lowering springs? 72 c20
We have all our drop springs custom made to the truck specs they are going into. It takes them a little longer to spec them out on the 3/4 ton. But that way the springs would still be stiff like they are now.

Re: who makes stiff front lowering springs? 72 c20
Maybe i'm wrong on the stiffer springs in the front. I'm just going off of grass dragging sleds. We would get a more instant weight transfer if we had the front slammed and very stiff. What's the best way for a truck like this....I really don't know. Anyone drag their trucks???
