?Question on a few parts??
I recived these two pieces with my 72 4x4. Truck came factory with a 350 SBC but I also recived BBC parts with it. I was wondering if they are stock parts to our years of trucks. I know what they are just wondering about application. Any ideas or does any one know what the top two nuts on the bell housing plate are for? Part # is on the overflow resivoir. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. RJ22

Re: ?Question on a few parts??
Top picture looks like an adapter to fit BOP T350/T400 tranny to a Chevy Block (or vice versa).

Re: ?Question on a few parts??
Deos not seem to be an adapter as holes are just through holes. (Spacer) It seems to be a plate to to mount a strait in mount starter which I got to. Just not sure if this would have come on the truck factory I never seen one before. RJ22

Re: ?Question on a few parts??
I agree that the adapter is for a BOP trans on a chevy block, the nuts on the top would be where the top two bolts for the BOP trans mounts. Also, you could mount the manual trans type starter to the auto trans without holes in the block as usual. Now the res. I'm not to sure about, but I think I remember something like that on the big trucks, c-50,c-60?? Anyone else......

Re: ?Question on a few parts??
the surge tank is off a bigger truck, theyrun it well into the late 70's and probably into the 80's... I don't think it came on the 67 - 72 trucks at all.

Re: ?Question on a few parts??
Thanks guys I had never ran across either of these two before and I have stipped a good many cars and trucks. I should have figured the trans adapter out on my own and, I didn't even put it together when Palf70Step told me what it was . The tank being off of one of the bigger models would be why. I knew you guys would know. Hope I can be of help in return someday. Thank You RJ22
