Tail light wiring

I took the tail lights off last fall to put the rust proofing wands in and had read on the site where someone said he painted the metal part the bulbs sit in white and got brighter tail lights.

I want to sandblast epoxy primer and paint them white. The lower larger metal section with one bulb was easy to disconnect the wire off the back push twist and it comes off. The to psmaller piecs that is approx 2 x 2 with one bulb in it is different and cant figure out how that wire comes off or sort of looks like it doesnt. Prefet not to cut it and put a connector on dont want condensation in there.

Am I missing the point does the wire come free of that connector?? If so how.

Thanks,

Warren

Re: Tail light wiring

like wibilly said, and it can be a ***** to unplug.......pull on the plug, not the wire.
