saw one of ours go down this weekend.......
drivin the freeway to work i came to a traffic jam to find one of our trucks had lost control, hit the center median then shot across to the right shoulder and totalled itself in some bushes, backed by a concrete wall.
can we all pour out a little oil

There's enough of our old trucks around yet to replace it, What about the driver and passengers (if any)??
I hate to see a bad wreck.. We had a FLIGHT FOR LIFE CHOPPER go down a couple of days ago, I knew the pilot. |

That always hurts...but it is true, there's more than enough to go around, just depends on how much work you wanna do...I've actually got two friends who've had bad wrecks in their '67-'72s - both were fine - and they're both working on new ones now, heh. One found a nice straight truck - in Louisiana of all places! - that he's gonna transfer the interior from his wrecked truck into and probably some of the few body panels that aren't bent (it got hit HARD) and the other is going to fix his back up, then sell it and start another one. He bought this one mostly done and wants to build one up himself.
I'm just scared it's gonna happen to me. If it does...I pick up the parts I can save, find another straight truck, and go on.

I noticed you guys are from California, Nevada and Arizona. If you were from Pennsylvainia, you might not be so quick to say there are alot left to replace it. Although we do have a few left here, the pickin's are gettin' slim.
I bet you guys have alot of rust free trucks to choose from. That's not a luxury of us 4 season people. Cherish the ones that are left.
