how do you reset the oil life on a 2006 silverado?

on my '05 Malibu you turn the key on & press the gas pedal steadily to the floor 3 times.

actually, i was wondering this myself and being a manley man i was not about to read the owner's manual, but sometimes one must give in and admit defeat.
from the om page 5-24 1. turn the ingintion key to RUN with the engine off. 2. fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. if the OIL LIFE RESET message flashes for 10 seconds, the system is resetting. 3. turn the key to lock.
