CPP rear axels?
Has anybody installed the 5 lug conversion rear axel kit from CPP? I have seen mixed reviews on CPP. On the other hand, I've seen nothing bad about ECE. However, there is about $100 price difference.

I originally ordered a pair from CPP, but they were on backorder. After a month of waiting and no real way to track the status of the axles (other than calling), I decided to pay the difference and order the axles from ECE. Within a couple of days the axles showed up at the house and went on without problem. Once again, ECE proves to be a great place for providing the parts needed.

I had major problems with CPP and their not made in the USA parts. I try to stay away from them as much as possible. Had a really bad experiance concerning dropped spindles on another project. You get what you pay for sometimes and in my case their cheap product cost more in the end.

I have not used the axels, but did check on the same part from both cpp and ece, and the prices were equal,but ece,wanted 2x the shipping cpp wanted, it was 25 vs $52, easy choice I went with cpp, just my .02

Why not Summit, or Moser, etc etc. 5 lug axles aren't exotic by any means, I have a set of Moser axles I bought for $225, and the ones from Summit are cheaper (cost less) and even better quality so I hear (superior axles is the Summit brand) Did I mention Summit ships free?

I bought some 5 lug superior axles from summit for my 69 a few months ago for 227.00 suppose to be 30% stronger than stock.
They did'nt come with anything but the axles though. |

yea summit's fit good ask them for the 5 lug conversion axels they have them in stock just ordered some a few weeks ago.

Just ordered mine from Summit, should be here by Friday. I called and did a stock check, mine are being shipped from the Nevada warehouse to me in Cali, so by Friday I should have them. Now have to get the studs and etc etc.
