A buddies new work truck. 68 c20
Hi All,
Have a buddy who just picked up a new work truck. Just showing it off... It is a 68 c20, pretty much a repainted county truck, but runs good and I think it great attention getter for his painting business... He now has 3 trucks (67 C20 longbed, 68 C20 worktruck, and 72 C10 short fleet), maybe one of these days, he will sign up or something, and stop asking me to find info on the board for him... |

That looks killer. I really like those HD wheels. I'm looking for a set for my C-20, so I'm glad I found this post because now I know the HD wheels will fit well(backspacing and such).

Ya, the HD wheels will fit on the 3/4 ton, but you will need to buy the correct lug nuts from a guy on ebay.

John Fabris, thanks for the link! I'm going to keep my eyes open for a set of those HD wheels, and I'll get the lug nuts off eBay.

And I have to ask,Have you tried the sailcart?I've heard they were a blast but since i moved from northwestern Tx to NC I doubt I would get as much use from one.

Re: A buddies new work truck. 68 c20
Panel, yes, I have played with the land sailor. It was originally set up for a windsurfer mast and sail, but I felt that I could do better, and I brought the laser (14' boat in the picture) and made a mount on the land yatch, so now I can use the boat or the land yatch with the same mast/sail set up....
It is hard finding places long enough for fast long runs. Next thing I need to do is set up a bike computer on the front wheel so I can see my speed. Fully expecting to get up to around 40-50 miles an hour... I will make sure when I take this rig out that someone videos me..... Ya never know.... |

I`d like to see wheels with some "dish" on that truck. Some cool 8"custom wheels would fill those wells out much better.I like the "stuffed" look.

K, that would help the flame look. I agree, but then again, the guy only paid $200 for the rims with the new tires on them....
