Which MC should I use??

I am getting ready to try and swap the discs from an '89 Suburban to my 68.
I have read that my drum MC will cause the calipers to hang and that I'll need a disc/drum MC. Should I use the MC from the Suburban(I'll probably by a reman) or buy one for a 71/72? I'm worried about the linkage working with the 'Burb MC and thought maybe I could get around that problem by using a 71-72 MC. Also, are the linkages the same for 68 and 71/72 MC's? Thanks for your help and sorry for the lenghty post.

Re: Which MC should I use??

i dont think you would have a problem runing the MC from the burb, but you could always just get one for a 71-72 just to keep the look if anything else

I don't really mind it looking out of place; function over form, for now anyways. I'm just worried about the linkage.

i know the linkage to the booster and pedal are different than the stock 71-72s but just the MC should work

I'm in the middle of upgrading to the booster and mc off of a 83. Gimme a few weeks and I'll tell you how I like it.
