Got some crappy news today
Well, as some of you know I've been having some problems with my truck shaking a bunch. Both U-Joints seem to be okay, so i went with the balancing the wheels route. When I got the tire shop to pick them up they told me my passenger side wheel was bent. So I need to find another wheel. It's a 20x8 Eagle 212. I posted a WTB ad in the parts section.

Re: Got some crappy news today
I had those wheels but they were 18's on a 67 camaro. You could practically kick them and bend them. I had mine fixed 3 different times by a place called Wheels America in Dallas. Mine were bent enough you could see it across the street. If you can't really see yours it should fix easily. Cost $108 each time to fix.

Re: Got some crappy news today
have it repaired. Check with any of your local bodyshops and they can point you in the right direction. Most wheel recon shops charge around 100.00 dollars and offer 24 hour turn around service.

Re: Got some crappy news today
Brian,
Is it near the top in the 1st pic at about the 1 o'clock position? If so I 2 also think that can be salvaged

Re: Got some crappy news today
Craig, that pic is from Maggie last year. That's the driver's front wheel. The one that is bent is the pass front.

Re: Got some crappy news today
There is a place in Williamsport Maryland that specializes in this type of thing.. they do classic wheel restoration.. I'll get the number for you.. or look them up in the web..it's called WheelTech.

Re: Got some crappy news today
are they cast or forged?
I for one would be afraid of a repaired aluminum wheel. |
