Question 71/72 1/2 ton springs

Question:

Are the 71/72 1/2 models all coil sprung? what is the difference in ride b/w coil and leaf? thanks...

I believe coil springs were standard with leaf springs optional on the (2) wheel drive chevy trucks. 4x4's all had leaf springs. Coil springs are a softer riding setup.

Bit the GMC trucks were the exact oposite...leaf standeard, and coil optional.
It is kinda common for the optional rear to be there and not be listed on the option sheet.
