door to cab seals

So I bought the s10 door seals several months ago from the junkyard and really had to slam my doors to get them to shut all the way.

Today I went looking for power window set up to transplant into my doors and got to looking at the 88-98 door seals. They mount the same way as the s10 seals but the bulb part isn't as bulky. So I picked them up and put them on when I got home and guess what!

They seal very well and I don't have to slam the door to close it, they are about a foot to long but not hard at all to cut to length. It still takes a firm shut but not a slam. The truck I grabbed them from looked to be pretty well taken care of except the connecting rod hanging out of the water jacket.

So I guess we have another option for door seals,,,
factory glue ons
s10 pu
s10 blazer 2 door
88-98 chevy pu

This may have already been brought to light but I missed it.

What's the advantage of this vs buying factory ones?

Re: door to cab seals

The factory ones just glue on and don't look all that great.

The others listed just push on, look better inside, seem to seal better, and are easier to deal with than the factory glue ons
