correct valve cover install.
I need to know if this is the correct way to install valve covers (see pic). That’s the way I took the off but the clips on the drivers side threw me, thinking they may not have been correctly installed.
Oil fill & PVC on drivers’ side, and breather vent on passenger side. Is this correct? Thanks, s/t

Re: correct valve cover install.
That's the same way mine are on my 305 but next time I pull them off I'm going to swap 'em. I'd rather have the oil filler closer to the front so it's easier to get too. It may mean a longer hose for the pcv valve but I think it's worth it.

Re: correct valve cover install.
If you do this, cant you just run the PVC to the same location? (it will still be in the front).

Re: correct valve cover install.
I was assuming you were going from side to side with the exchange (not just flipping them). You can’t really flip them anyway because they lean a certain way.
Would it look too weird if I switch sides? Anyone else done this? s/t

Re: correct valve cover install.
You can flip them. Just get a longer hose

Re: correct valve cover install.
I swapped mine so that the oil filler cap would be in the front. I went from side to side. Oil filler cap used to be on drivers rear. Works a lot better.
esll.

Re: correct valve cover install.
You can flip them from side to side I have done it many times for the same reason.
AND no you can't just flip some valve covers like yours, s/t and keep them on the same side, you are correct that they are canted over to the intake side. Most but not all aftermarket valve covers can be fliped any which way you want as they are not canted like yours are. RJ22...
