Hello all,

I just bought a 66 gmc pickup.

I’m excited and a little nervous about buying this pickup. I’m hoping I can get my 13year old boy to join me in fixing this. I’m glad I found this site so I can find answers to my simple questions. I’m not a mechanic so lucky for me the motor and transmission is basically done, so I’ll be doing a lot for reading on this and other sites to help me along. Here are links from the guy I bought it from which has a few pictures. http://tucson.craigslist.org/car/335312685.html
http://tucson.craigslist.org/car/313569843.html
I bought it for less then he was asking for.

Again I look forward to reading all the good stuff on this site.

Welcome to the board from Western Kentucky. It is always good to have a father and son working on a project as you have. Why does he have two different prices on the truck? One $4,000.00 and another at $4,900.00? Also, I would get rid of the air cleaner. They are know to come apart and get into the carb. (not good)
