steering box replacement recommendations

It was bad enough that my truck had very loose steering, but now it's leaking power steering fluid all over the place. Both the Pitman arm seal and the input shaft seal are leaking 24-7.

Anyone have any tips on the best steering box for our trucks? Stock, or maybe one from a later year?

It's a 71 K20 by the way.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

As long as you have to replace it, Id go with the quick ration replacement box from Early Classic Enterprises.

A gearbox out of a 68-78 chevy 4WD will work. The better years would be 74-78 because of the variable ratio.

Re: steering box replacement recommendations

I pulled one out of a '75 when I pulled the motor with power pump as well. It was a direct bolt and was very nice. My truck was non-power to begin with.

Why not just replace the seals? They sell them at Napa, and other places.
