Who sells the rear axle U-bolts...
I'm looking for a vendor who would have a good price for the rear axle ubolt and nuts for a coil spring rear...has anyone bought them lately?
Also if you go with lowering block/spring combo in the rear...do the blocks come with longer bolts? thanks

Re: Who sells the rear axle U-bolts...
if you have old ones take them to a local napa carquest or similar auto parts or spring place and buy them local without having to pay shipping/ lowering blocks dont usually come with ubolts

Re: Who sells the rear axle U-bolts...
Well that might not do any good...every set I've every had to take off...came off with a torch...so far I haven't run across a set that actually unbolted....
I'm going to see if I can get my set to come off and still be usable..but if not, I know LMC has stock ones for about $30 bucks a pair + s/h...but that seems kind of high to me? If I can get mine off in one piece..them I'm good..this is my first time swapping over from 6 lug to 5 lug...my last truck was already 5...and any parts trucks I've had, I had to torch them off...

Re: Who sells the rear axle U-bolts...
Use a cut off wheel if possible, then you can just take the pieces in to show them what you want. If you need them for lowering blocks just add an inch to the length of the u-bolts for every inch of block, they should be able match them up. If not, like Lary said, take them to a local truck shop.................Bamm

If you can't find what you want, a good spring shop should be able to make them for you. Look in the yellow pages under "Springs-Auto-Sales & Service". They made 2" longer ones for me for my lowering blocks. I think it cost me $30 with tax. I have had good luck getting the old ones off by spraying with PB Blaster, wire brushing the threads good, re-spraying, heating the nuts with my torch, then using my 3/4" rachet set..... LockDoc

Re: Who sells the rear axle U-bolts...
The help section (all the little crap) in most parts stores should have these ubolts. Just take your old ones in and you can tell by placing them up to the new ones which ones you need. These (help) Ubolts were longer than original however i just took a hacksaw and cut off what I didn't need. If you're putting blocks in then this might be just what you need.
