One Tank or Two?
I'm currently updating my air suspension.
Along w/the new Slams in place of the Stones, I'm adding a second compressor & was thinking about increasing air storage quantity too. I don't play w/the ride height..... it's only adjusted when the trailer is hooked up for work. Space wise, I think 2 smaller tanks would be easier to mount but I was considering having 1 large tank spec built for my needs. Do you guys feel 2 smaller tanks are better than 1 lg. tank or is there really a difference as long as the capacity is similar? Let me know your thoughts....

If they are connected via an air line that is the same diameter or larger than what you use everywhere else they will act essentially as one tank.

i'm not to sure what compressors your gonna run, but a 5 gallon tank and 2 compressors will work best for you, since you don't even really play with your switches that much......any other suggestions from someone else?

I was running one 3-gal tank (bolted to the bottom side of the bed floor) & one small Thomas compressor for just the rears. Now that it's F & R, I was going to add a second tank/comprerssor.
I guess I'll go w/2 3-gal tanks since I think they'll be easier to find space for mounting.

I'm planning my system now. Just curious why so many seem to want two compressors? I don't plan to play with the switches much. Why would I want two?

this is kind of how i was thinking about thsi situation, im currently on schraders and when i air up our shop compressor just a little one with 2 5 gallon tanks, the pressure in the tank reads at 120PSI it takes nothing to lift one bag on the front to like 50 psi. and the comp still doesnt kick in till i start on the next bag. does this sound logical for a set up?

I have 1 5 gallon tank and 2 Viair 450 compressors. When my truck is all the way down and I air it up to ride height the compressors will kick in. My compressors turn on at 120 psi and shut off at 150 psi, it takes about 1 min. and 10 sec. to get back up to 150 psi in the tank.

im goin to run a 9 gallon with 2 viair 380s i had 3 comps but sold on im goin to run a 200 psi switch for f/r and im runnin dual port slams
