rear axle shims? correct pinion angle?

So I'm going down to a 7" drop in the rear. I bought 3deg shims to correct the angle for less vibration. Anyone know which way they go in? pinion has to go down or up? Thanks

if you are lowering the truck the wider end of the shim would go tward the front if you are raising the truck it goes to the back
