Torque Converter Install
I´m getting ready to put my engine and tranny back in and I´m sure I can get it back in but I´m stuck with one question.
Do I have to prime the torque converter before I install it? Thanks!

Re: Torque Converter Install
did you remove the converter from the tranny?
If not you should be fine.

Re: Torque Converter Install
make sure it has enough fluid, since it probably lost some when removing it, and put it back on, making sure it seats completely, and that's it.
If you replaced the fluid in the tranny, it's a good idea to replace the fluid in the converter as well.

Re: Torque Converter Install
Thanks for the help Brak!
I drained everything already. I just wasn´t sure if I needed to fill it halfway or leave it dry. I guess the first time I start it I will know if I did everything right.

Re: Torque Converter Install
Thanks for the tips and info´s!
I got the Engine and tranny put back in today and put just about a liter in the torque converter til it started running out. I will put the rest in when I get the drive shaft cleaned and installed. 10 Quarts!? I bought 10 just to be on the safe side.
