Driveshaft compatability

I have the 72 Junkyard Jimmy with the AWOL drive train. I can get a tranny and transfercase from a 74 blazer for a bargain but was wondering about using the driveshafts from the 74. I know they will work with the transfercase, but will the length and U-joint style or size be compatible with my 72 axles? The tranny is the same TH350, but the transfer case I'm pretty sure is the NP203. I would think the axles on the 74 are probably the same, but I don't know. The length would depend on the position of the engine mounts compared to the 72. Any help or info here would be appreciated.
