Best Deals On...
I thought it would be nice to harness the cumulative experience and searching power of the members here to help each other find the best deals on parts. We could keep bringing this thread back TTT every time someone wants to find or share a good deal.
Here's my first request: All rear seals for the Suburban including; Quarter window seals Back glass (hatch/liftgate) seal Liftgate to body seal Tailgate to body seal Who has the best prices? Also if there are known quality differences please chime in on that too. Last edited by Frizzle Fry; 06-08-2007 at 12:09 PM. |

Re: Best Deals On...
Here's what I've found so far. Not sure if the quarter window seal is correct because they are WAY cheaper than I've seen elsewhere and the description seems a little funny
Quarter window seals Carolina Classics $39.88 I think that may be the small "fixed vent windows." Here's another one that may be the quarters but seems way too cheap: Quarter window seals Carolina Classics $16.88 I've sent them an email to clarify... What seems to be the right part/price: Quarter window seals American Classic Truck Parts $145.00/pr Back glass (liftgate/hatch) seal GMC Pauls $38.95...or with chrome filler strip American Classic Truck Parts 46.00 Liftgate (hatch) seal Truckandcarshop.com $23.00 Tailgate seal Truckandcarshop.com $23.00 I'll continue to edit this post with the best prices found. Re: Best Deals On...
I'm not buying from Truck Shop anymore. I ordered some stuff from them a while back and it's all fallen apart. Cheap plastic crap. I can recommend Brothers and GMCPaul. Although not the cheapest, they have quality parts and good customer service.

I have had the best dealings with GMCpaul and Bill Athey although Athey is a lot slower.

Re: Best Deals On...
Just ordered the quarter and rear hatch glass seals from American Classic. They had the best price I could find on the quarter seals ($145/pr) and I decided I wanted the chrome filler strip in the rear glass seal ($46).
I'm going with a universal extruded seal from Soffseal (E1704) so I'll have one continuous loop around the one-piece liftgate. |

Re: Best Deals On...
I had really good luck with Fryer's Upholstery on my seat covers. They were willing to work with me to get the color and extra material I wanted. They also sent some easy instructions. I hadn't ever tried to recover seats before. www.autoupholsterykits.com
