headliner rubber
Is there a trick or an easier way to get the rubber moulding in place other than a couple of screwdrivers and alot of grease in my 56? Also do you work the headliner in after the rubber is in place? Thanks, bud

Re: headliner rubber
I have bought the new rubber and headliner but have'nt had time to do the install yet. I came across a tip from someone that the rubber is easier to install by placing a block of wood against it and tap into place with a mallet. Use another hammer handle for the corners. Still gotta use grease or vasaline first tho. Lay the rubber out in the hot sun for a while before you start to soften it up. And install the headliner after the rubber trim. I heard that spray adhesive works good for that. Good luck and let us know how you made out. Maybe take some pics. Your camera took a nice pic of that truck of yours.
