Help: Can't Find Some Blazer Tank Info
I remember reading some info about the inlet on the steel blazer tanks somewhere here but can't seem to find the post/thread that has what I need.
The 'stock' blazer tank inlet-tube is secured to the tank w/2 small studs/nuts. It seemed as though they would just un-thread to remove the inlet from the tank but the nuts won't budge (I tried w/a long handle 3/8 ratchet). I remember someone posted the 'tip' on how to properly remove the nuts from these studs. Does anyone know? I tried heating w/my small butane hand torch that I use for wiring jobs thinking I just needed some heat but that didn't help. Do I need to heat the studs more or what's the trick?

That peice is soldered onto the tank, so yes, remove the two nuts, and heat the flange up. You will see solder run out when you have it hot enough to remove with a vise grip or pliers...
(I did the same to mine)... |
