my new truck 72 GMC
hey in back after forever, i sold my big block trucn and i got this 72 GMC off my little brother this week, it was his first truck i bought it for him when he was 15, and now 6 years later he says take it if u want it. so i got it home and spent about 2 hours getting the 305 running. i removed all the chrome because half was missing, and painted where the chrome was with old equipment yellow ( doesnt match perfect but not bad, and also painted the wheels. i removed and redone the guage cluster yesterday, cleaned it , polished the glass, and painted the black behind the numbers yellow, removed the way to tall mini van seats, and hope to install a bench i picked up yesterday tommorow.
the truck is a 72 gmc, sierra, with a/c of course all is missing, the interior is some what ok, no dash pad, and the dash is really butched for a radio, but everything is is there, no rust in the floor, but the area where the seat belts bolt in is all rotted out in the corners, will need rockers, and a lil body work but i think it will make a nice d/d any comments, or feedback on the paint matching? Re: my new truck 72 GMC
Ghost yellow wide pinstripes.I doubt that trend will ever be as hot as rat rods but it looks pretty good.Should make a nice driver.
