Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
Well, I never had a build thread......'cause it's still the same old truck!
With the 4th of July HOLIDAY coming-up, I thought I would encourage everyone to take some fun pictures and post them. I am sure the board meet will have its own thread. I started my weekend a little early today. This is the 20th season that my truck has carried my old Jetski to the lake. I gotta do this more often (like I used to.)

Re: Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
I don`t do build threads, either.I can`t dedicate enough time to keep anyone`s interest.I like to see these trucks give fun a touch of added class. That looks like a perfect use for a pretty blue truck.I`ll start off (after you) with some old fun.Not the first time these were seen here, but I`ll pitch`em in.
A couple weeks ago.`Yakin`down the Shenendoah. My "take out" hauler: 1989:Traveling between Taos and Chama,NM on out way to Pagosa Springs,CO.We traveled from Maryland to the North Rim of the Canyon, stopping in on friends along the way.We saw Mesa Verde, rode the Toltec/Cumbres steam rail up into CO from out of Chama,Monument Valley,Glen Canyon,Sedona,Petrified Forest,Meteor Crater,Sliders Rock on Oak Creek, and other good stuff... 1984:Assategue Island,MD.It was early in the year(April),so I needed to put a windbreak up to keep it warm. But,it was before the swells were still good and I surfed my butt off.I`m dead in that picture... That`s what I have on the computer.I need to scan more old shots.Never took enough shots, though(do we ever?).Need to change that.

Absolutely fantastic!Lucky kids,I`m sure they will have a hard time letting that go.And,not because it`s a valuable care, either.

Here's one of my 77 Cheyenne along with my buddy Keith. This is after spending an afternoon sorting out a blown line on air suspension....

Re: Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
It's a Billet Specialties "VinTec" steering wheel. It matches the wheels on the truck.

Re: Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
Thanks for the pictures guys.
Greasemonkey, I used to run my air cleaner top like that and then I figured it didn't help my little two barrel very much, but it sounded cool. Yukon Jack, I love that second photo, but don't you guys have leaves on your trees? Anyone driving their truck in a parade this week?

Re: Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
1987 Summit County Fair demolition derby. That's me in the light blue shirt. My wife is the blonde in the yellow. Those two kids are mine, age 3 and 6. they'll turn 26 & 23 this year! The guy in the dark blue shirt and the guy standing on the car are my 2 best friends in the world, but everyone in the scene I've known forever. Some are no longer living, so this is kinda bittersweet. That truck was mine. It started out as a '67 LWB but over the years morphed into a trazer. It was actually getting close to ready to paint when I wrecked it. Just built it out of spare parts, just to see if I could.

Re: Fun Pictures - Post 'em Here
Yep, that was the first part of March so I gues me saying spring was a little wrong. Still was a beautiful day, though a bit brisk. Lunch was hot dogs cooked over a small fire - can't beat that!
