Measurements needed for: Side view mirror placement

I just bought this 1970 CST-10 pickup. An e-bay truck that needs a lot of things...including side view mirrors as you can see from the photo.

I just purchased this set of 1970-1972 reproduction chrome door mirrors....aka "sport mirrors" from Arrowhead truck parts (an e-bay store..I might add "Very nice guys to deal with I highly recommend them"!

Just wondering if anyone out there has the same mirrors (or similar ones at the very least). If you do and are satisfied with the location of them, could you possibly take the time to measure from the front door edge to mirror base and also from the door top (where window seals are located) to the mirror base for me? This would give me a good idea of where the proper placement is....for these mirrors on the doors. I sure would hate to guess, drill holes and then find out "I wish I would have put them just a little farther back or up...etc.etc. Even better yet....Is there documentation out there somewhere that shows door mirror location? Thanks guys, I appreciate it...

Jonathan,
Here's a link to a set of mirrors just like the ones I got. They're $45.00 + $12.00 shipping! Excellent deal

I found this set AFTER I bought my set from Arrowhead truck parts.

Isn't that the way it always goes? Not a big deal though (it's only a $13.00) difference because I payed $70.00 total. Also: I did have some shipping damage to a bumper I also ordered from him. He's sending me out another one ...no questions asked!! He's a good guy (Dominic) That's worth a lot in itself! Best wishes to you...

Dan, Thanks a bunch...this is exactly what I needed. I don't know what I'd do without ALL of your help...You guys have guided me through so many problems with this truck already and I only joined a couple of months ago! And your help is especially appreciated right now Dan...Thanks again
