I just thought it looked cool. picked up a friends engine hoist to pull an engine from a cherokee tonight... if his wife lets him. just had to take a pic

There is a guy that has one near me that is a drive on hauler...looks pretty good and he still uses it....i would love to have it...ill try in the next few days to get a pic of it.....I like the old school wreckers and drive on haulers....

thats my 64, with a new cable it would be a working tow truck, all orignal from a chevrolet dealership, we got it from behind a local paper company.

O I C,I thought you meant it was a wrecker that a dealership had.I need to grt down to where I buy my parts and get a picture of their wrecker.They are hanging on to it.It`s a`66-ish C30 Stepside wrecker with dealer name on the doors.

It is a dealer wrecker, it got sold to the paper company somewhere down the line. Says the name of the dealer on the side.

Man i like the 1967--1972 Car wrecker the ones that had the flat bed with the winch and had the rollers on the end of the truck its the one that they put the steel 15 foot car hualer on where the car sits on the frame i know where one is and man love to have it my own old tow truck make lots of money not to fond of the sling tow truck drove them back in Oklahoma

You mean like this?They`re more than 15',though:
Alot were home-built.A company named Hodges builds them and they`re real nice.We call`em car haulers or dove-tails.They`re not considered wreckers.They are for transport.
