What are your weekend plans?
Well mine is to get my shop all finished up. I just went from a 60amp service for my house, shop and out house (12x20 two story) to a 400amp set up. This now gives me a full 200amps for the house and 200amps for the shop that will be split for the out house as well. Yesterday I finished the re-wireing of the shop and added (2) 50amp welder out lets, (1) 30amp air comp circut, (12) 120V 20amp out lets and I have alot of room left for more items down the road. Today I replaced a small section of the floor that was wood. I think it was the office for the old shop but now it is were I keep my tool box's, fridge, press and 36" break. The old floor was out of level and falling apart. So I tore out the old wood flooring and sub structure and built a steel structure then added 3/4" T&G ply with joist's 12" OC. I then paitned it with epoxy floor paint I had laying around. Later today I hope to clean the shop and put everything back were it goes. This way I can start on the next customer build first of the week.
So what are some of your plans for the weekend? Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: What are your weekend plans?
I can't wait to try out my welders with the new power! With only 60amps before between the house, shop and outhouse their is now way they were working to their full potential. Now with 200amps just in the shop they should sing. My Tig has never worked teh way it should but now I am hopfull it be able to use it alot more in my builds.

Re: What are your weekend plans?
Hopefully finish sandblasting my swb frame. Also go get the 72 C-20 that I'll be using for the cab. Probably try to get it running too.
Also going to a jeep show, and see what the grand cherokee can do on the RTI ramp! |

Was planning on riding my new motorcycle (Buell XB9SX) down to the Texas Heat Wave in Austin, but looks like the weather isn't going to cooperate.

swappin the l'il motor for the big motor,
been spending all day today changing all the pumps, timing set, all the gaskets, and throwing some chevy orange around. the junkyard motor is super clean inside and has clearly had a recent rebuild. and a four bolt main . so far so good.

Re: What are your weekend plans?
My cab is getting primed this weekend for pickup Sunday so I can get doors cleaned and ready to put back on. Maybe a little cleaning too. however the 90 degrees will slow me down. I want my 70 degrees back and some rains.

Everyone seems to be productive this weekend. Other than drinking a beer or 20 I think I'm with Panel on this one.

Re: What are your weekend plans?
I am going to the Texas heat Wave show in Austin,Texas. It takes all day to walk and almost every kind of truck also. Trucks so high you can not reach the door and trucks so low most of the motor sticking through the hood. I am driving from Dallas, is a little drive and I will be very tired when I get home. I like to go and look for ideas I can use on my own ride....

Re: What are your weekend plans?
Well I still have alot of clean up to do but it is so much better than it was. With the new wiring I was abel to remove some old structures that opened things up for my tool box's. Also I can now park on the floor if needed. I will also be spending alot of time with my wife and new son!

Re: What are your weekend plans?
I found the ambition to bolt my BB to the tranny and drop it in place this afternoon. A couple of hours and beers later, here's what it looks like...
But it's time to take the ribs & chicken off the grill and eat...

Re: What are your weekend plans?
Number two son and me are going to swap out the bad engine tranny with good engine tranny into number one sons burb. Its his birthday on Monday so its our gift to him...besides I want it out of the barn. We are undecided as to whether we will clean all the bird doo off the body for him though.
Then again number two son doesn't always show up when he says he will so I may just sit on my rear. |
