Talking Got some work done today. Check it out.

My cousin came over and finished welding in and smoothing out my c-notch kit. He also welded in some steel rings for extra support on the exhaust holes I cut in the crossmember. Lastly, he welded some nuts on th inside of the frame so I can bolt up the gas tank from below without using the straps. Special thanks to Krue for the great step by step in the FAQ index thread. Thanks guys. You think I might have future issues by not using the gas tank straps and going with the direct bolt on to frame method?

I would say yes, you get fuel in the tank and that is a lot of weight on those tabs which were not designed to hold weight. If you are going to stick with that tank, I woulsd put some straps on it.

I like the frame mods. Very nice work!
