Driveshaft Question
Hi
I have a 1972 chevy shortbox. It is a factory 350/TH350 setup and am planning on putting a 402 in it. I am going to leave the TH350 for now and was wondering if the driveshaft will work or if I need to get a different one. Thanks.

Re: Driveshaft Question
Trans will not move so driveshaft will be the same.

Re: Driveshaft Question
It should all work with no need for a driveshaft change, lenthen,or shorten as long as you dont move the motor positioning.

Re: Driveshaft Question
might want to check your clearance issues first. I had to move my motor/trans back 2'' when i changed from a small to big block and my fan still sits only about 3/4 inch from the radiator. But i used late model mounts and brackets, not sure how the origionals work. In my case i had to shorten the driveshaft 2'' as well. i went with a 1 piece out of a later model chevy shortbed thats larger around and stronger.
