Is it worth it???
I was showing a guy at work a picture of my swb, and he tells me he has a 71 lwb with a 400 andd 4 speed he may want to sell. I went to look at it, and it is in fair condition. All it really needs is new rocker, seals, paint, and a new steering wheel. He was asking $3k for it. If I were to buy it that would probably mean the swb will be up for sale. Any thoughts...

Re: Is it worth it???
I agree a new steering wheel is in order. As far as the truck goes check cab supports for rust as well as corners etc. If it is what you say it represents and is running the price is reeeally fair. Get it before anyone else does.
esll.

Re: Is it worth it???
from what i'm seein in the engine compt it looks like the whole electrical system has been hacked and wacked for quite some time, a nightmare ,i'd be lookin under the dash to see if they paid the same attention to detail under there
you could just try a real loball figure(700-800) and buy it as a parts truck// short trucks are better for stylin longbeds better for workin

I think the wires on the firewall are for the alarm. He also installed pwr locks and windows, but the mount looks like crap.
