It is a dark Mopar red color. New Process Gear was owned by Chrysler Corp. at the time. This has been discussed many times and I don't think a color code has ever been found.

Hello Igor, here is pics of the 205 out of my 70 Jimmy. It had never been out of the truck until I took it out a couple months ago. It is Chevy orange. Doesnt look like the TH350 adapter was painted at all, as well as the aluminum parts, and the side cover. This is 2 years older so things probably changed.

Mine (72 Blazer) looked exactly the same as the one pictured above. As far as I know it was original.

Stock np205 color---like Blazer1970 said,was a mopar color.The case was,the aluminum parts weren't painted though.I dont know what color the adapter was originally,mine was a dark color.Maybe black?

Must have been mopar orange, definitely not a dark red, and it matches my engine in a similar stage of clean-up, but as I said before, this is a 70 so things may be different by 72.
