Fuel Gauge Lights?

Looked in my owners and drivers manual, (yes it came with the truck!) to find out what the 2 red areas at the bottom of the fuel gauge are for? It did not mention anything or I could not find anything about them. So what are they for?

Mine still work. One is for the Ebrake. Don't remember what the other one says, sorry.

Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

I think it's brakes and alternator. I think, I know as stated above it's brakes for one.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

That's what mine says. The brake one actually works. I lost a wheel cylinder a few years ago and when the level dropped in the reservoir the light came on

My temp one isn't hooked up to anything, I added a gauge for that

*It also may depend on your cluster. Mine are a 3 hole cluster.

Question Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

wow this must be a tough one, well we have e-brake light, that's cool. Now the other light, 2 different answers and I have gauges for both. So let's here some others for these warning lights.

Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

I don't think that light is for the e-brake. When I took my e-brake out a couple years ago (PO hacked the crap out of the lines) there was nothing electrical connected to it anywhere????

There is, however, a wire that runs to the propotioning valve, which, when the fluid gets low, the light comes on.

Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

I can only speak for the 7 hole cluster.....One's a light that detects a prob at the master cylinder and the other detects a prob with charging system.

Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

^On a 3 hole cluster, the "generator" light comes on when there's a problem with the charging system. It's located in the center hole with the turnsignals. At the moment I can't remember what the other light is....

Re: Fuel Gauge Lights?

the one is brake, as indicated, and the other is not charging, it's temperature.
On a 7 hole dash (aux guages) there is no bulb installed in there.
