NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! If it is really a factory 57 AC unit, it is worth way more to shoebox restoration guys than it would ever be worth to you in the truck.
Get a modern VintageAir (or equivalent) system for your truck and sell the 57 system for mucho gibs at a Classic Chevy convention show. Everybody wins.

Is it a factory air or an aftermarket underdash unit? Since very few 57 Chevys came with air if it is factory it is worth some bucks, if it is an aftermarket underdash put it in your truck.
