body prep ???'s
I just returned from meeting hjalbert and picking up a bed from him. It is the nicest bed I have seen and want to thank him for it. My question is this. We all know that the bed sides consist of inner and outer. After 30 years of normal wear, what is the best way to completely clean, prep and finish the sides making certain to cover the between areas?
I have seen dips that strip all paint and rust. Is this the way to go? Is there a dip for priming like the newer body panels or any place that EDP coats ?

I had my bed sand blasted and they sprayed epoxy primer on it after they were finished blasting it. Epoxy primer is a good base for the rest of your primer that you will need to spray on your bed.

I do not want it blasted if it cannot be covered. I don't see how it could be covered with any type of spray between these panels. I have access to a 50,000 gallon bronze primer dip tank and am thinking of dipping it before blasting and only blasting where new paint is visible. That should seal and/or coat all internal edges and between panels at the bedrails. Any comments?
Come on guys. I have seen some awesome trucks on this board. How did you get them that way?
